Venus is turning retrograde this week and everyone’s forecasting six weeks of heartbreak. Why should that be? Reversing her course, Venus could mean…

  • getting back together with an ex
  • taking your guitar, art supplies, pottery wheel out of storage and rediscovering an art form you used to love
  • reviving a fashion from the past
  • taking an impulse purchase back to the store for a refund
  • recovering a missing work of art
  • going back to an old hairstyle that actually flatters you
  • teaching a child the songs you loved when you were little
  • finding a childhood friend on Facebook
  • finding your lost handbag
  • making a playlist of classic hits

A great little entry with a positive spin! Thanks!

I lost a beautiful silver ring with a large amethyst set into it, and have never recovered it. I would love it if it came back!

  3. Ha! On the evening of the 5th, we went to a concert of classical (south) Indian music, which we hadn’t done anymore for about 10 yrs! Truly an old love revisited…
And: I am also trying to recover my svelt silhouette from long ago; I think that too goes with Venus retro, lol!

  4. Herman – the concert sounds lovely! Always a treat to rediscover these past pleasures. And… if you find another svelte silhouette when you recover yours, and nobody’s using it, do please send it my way… ;-)

Antonio – Oscar Hofman wrote an article for the new Tradition journal (http://www.academyofastrology.org/traditionjournal/current.html), and he says that amethysts have the signatures of Saturn and Jupiter… but that probably just complicates matters.

I recently did have an old childhood friend contact me through email. A friend of our Mothers’ died a month ago and we both went online to this woman’s legacy funeral site to send our condolences. She found my post there and emailed me. I haven’t chatted with her in over 30 years. It’s been fun reliving our childhoods.

  6. Funny how that happens! I love the kinds of friends you can feel comfortable with, even after so much time. Thanks for stopping by with your story, Kahuku.

Well, the spin on Venus retrograde that my astrology friend reported to me recently was about all sorts of SCANDALS being made public. I guess that’s positive in a sort of “ultimate spiritual good” kind of way.

  8. Interesting perspective… though who are we to say what the ultimate spiritual good of anything is, I wonder?
    Glad you stopped by.
